Default HBO's 'The Pacific'

HBO's New Miniseries 'The Pacific' (from the people that made 'Bands of Brothers' and 'Saving Private Ryan') airs this coming weekend.

Looks great... Bands of Brothers was fantastic so I'd expect this to as well.

Anyone else going to be watching it? It looks fantastic. I don't have HBO though so I will have to download it...

Also for those of you like me who don't have HBO, send me an email here http://forums.eastcoastcichlids.org/...ailmember&u=85 or a PM with your email address and after each episode when the recording (usually HD recordings) pop up online I'll email you the download links.

Last time I was in this much anticipation for an HBO series was the John Adams series the other year (2008???)... I own that one on DVD :-)

Bands of Brothers was amazing...it was particularly awesome that FX kept airing it the past year or two every few weeks.

The first two Band of Brothers episodes were on one of the HBO channels last night. Of course I watched them even though I have seen the series about 10 times already. I haven't checked yet but I would think they have two episodes a night in the runup to The Pacific.

Just finished watching an HDTV rip of the first episode Guadalcanal.

VERY GOOD EPISODE! There's action right in the first episode unlike the bands of brothers series where the first few episodes you followed the soldiers through their training.

This series looks very promising...

Send me an email (here http://forums.eastcoastcichlids.org/...ailmember&u=85) or PM me with your email address for the download link for those of you who don't have HBO.

Only the first Band of Brothers episode, Currahee, had training. The second episode, Day of Days, started with the paratroop drop into Normandy prior to the landings.

I missed the first 15 minutes of The Pacific. I know it will be only on another 250 times again before next Sunday.

I must've watched the first episode a couple times then as I could've sworn that there was like 3 episodes of them training and everything before there was any actual action.

You didn't miss much in the first 15 mins of Pacific.

I watched it and enjoyed the episode. It looks like this is going to be a good one. HBO makes some good series.
