Default Snow Thread...

The East Coast, mainly the Mid-Atlantic States, are bracing for a snow event.
It seems that the further south you go the more snow you will encounter.

Lets start with some updates:

Here on the Jersey Shore (Lacey Township, about 30 minutes north of Atlantic City) we are expecting varied amounts. I have heard 10", 18" and even as much as 24". As of 3pm nothing yet.

How about you?

Sigh....not again! More snow?
Why do I live here in Jersey?!!?

Oh yeah:

Born and raised here, I don't even have to tell anyone I live here. All I have to do is say a few words, and someone always says: "You're from New Jersey, aren't you? I can tell from your accent." (ahem. WHAT ACCENT?!)

Pizza is great here.

Folks from other states all think that Jersey wives are married to 'wise guys' (mob men) or that we all have a cousin VITO. While not true, the fear of that comes in handy at times (especially when I am bidding on fish at an auction....hehehe)

No sales tax on clothing.

And the number one reason I live in NJ:

I don't know how to pump gas, and NJ is one of the last 'full service' gas station states in the country.

No snow yet. I hope it misses us here and stays south. I need my tulips to come up.

My son plays lacrosse in a bubble on friday nights. During the December snow it collapsed . They just fixed it this week, and tonight is his first game since then. good-luck to us * For all you warm climate folks a bubble is an air pressurised dome that covers the field and a little sideline , enabling you to play games when its to cold outside.

3:45 nothing in north western Gloucester Co. I can't Wait for the snow, I LOVE IT!!! It turns me into 10 year old. Of course my wife would say it's better than the 5 year old that I am normally.

5pm..nothing yet.
Snow expectations have now increased. Southern Jersey looks like 24", and further south in Maryland possibly 30".

We have been issued a Blizzard Warning, with 2-3" of snow per hour.
