Patrick, you can use any kind of filtration on a mbuna tank, hang on back power filter, sponge, canister. You can set a tank up with a bare bottom, sand or gravel. You can use almost any type of aquarium safe rock, even driftwood. Glad you enjoy the filter. -joe

    Hi Joe,
I just wanted to ask you about using under gravel filters.
Is there a problem with the suction of the under gravel filter
and fertilization of eggs that are laid in the gravel ????
