My Eheim suction cup lost most of their suction after 2-3 months of use. Is it normal (I got Eheim 2215 and 2217 the classic model)? It is quite annoying I need to fix the position of spray bar and intake strainer constantly because of of this.... Is there any after market model or DIY suction cup?

they carry a larger suction cup and the smaller ones in the store at homedepot in the hardware aisle. i discard the hook and drill a small hole thru the base where the hook went put a ziptie thru it and ziptie it to the filter stem.. use 2 zipties in a loop if i need the stem to be further off the glass (cuz of my backgrounds) and suction cupping it to the very top of the tank where theres an inch of no background
what sponsor carries those magclips bill?

Man I feel ghetto. My intake is held in by a sponge prefilter jambed Next to a rock. :becky: Oh and the spray bar kinda just moves with the current lol.

lol i hear you man.. i got all macgyver on it.. my one fluval 405 intake has a cichlid stone cave shoved in front of it cuz they bend at the rubber boot on the top but the eheims are rigid and stay where u put them if u just suction cup the very top.. imo duct tape and zipties can fix almost any problem lol

The mag clips work very well. A bit hard to find on the internet for a decent price. Marine Depot seemed to have the best price if buying a few of them but as of about a week ago they were out of stock.

I never noticed these things before. I just purchased some Eheim cups to replace some older units that were so hard they might have been petrified.
These magclips look awesome!
