I got back from the auction around 7:15.
The usual suspects were there from NJAS - Joe Jaskot, Carlos, Gary, Bernard, Debbie. Of course Joe broke the bank and bought expensive frog candle holders.:)
Also in attendance was JoeDi, the former pres of NJAS who helped auction.
Birthday Boy OLDJOE was there as a runner and Bovsbaitboxes was there spending lots of dough on a spongebob crab of some sort.
Our two auction vendors were selling their wares -
www.yourfishstuff.com
and
www.southcentralcichlids.com
I picked up a couple bags of Laetacara dorsigerus and a purple firefish along with a few dry goods.

Were there any FISH there?
Geez, sounds like it was not that great of an auction from the few I have heard from.
Tropheus?
Haps?
Mbuna?
Cyps?
Apistos?
Oh wait, those are the fish that will be at the ECC AUCTION!!!
Did they have omelettes, pancakes, ziti?
Oh no, those are the foods that will be at the ECC AUCTION!!!
So from what I heard you could not sit back with baked ziti and bid on Tropheus...unless you go to the ECC AUCTION!

They had egg sandwiches, soup, meatball subs, hot dogs and brownies.
Not a bad selection.
Poor selection of east africans, two bags of Tangs(toae and brevis), both donations from Atlantis. About a dozen bags of common Malawi stuff (zebras, socolofi).
Nice selection of apistos, geos, angelfish and Discus.
A couple fancy plecos.
I think we all know where the top cichlids end up. 04-04

How big were the geos? Roy use to have the red brasilensis iporangensis..Ihave been looking for that fish for years! The bahi reds are nice but they lack the spangling of the brasilensis types.... Red fins with a green spots I had a jumbo pr awhile back..I lost the female the male killed it and sold the male to Jeff..It figures the only auction I don't go to has fish I want!!!!!!!!!!!

I picked up a 6" green phantom pleco (L200), 4 oranda goldfish, 2 power filters, a canister filter, a new 6 gallon eclipse tank, a used 29 gallon tank , light and stand, a metal halide reflector, over 7 pounds of fish food, brine shrimp eggs, betta kit, a few plants, a pleco cave and some other crap. Also came home with a lighter wallet. LOL! Get out and support your local clubs. Had lots of fun as always. See some of you at the NEC auction next week.
