I am using Coralife 9W for my 125g but I want to move it to my 55g tank and buy another one for my 125g. Any recommendations?

If you are happy with the Coralife UV sterilizer, they make larger models. Just make sure you size the uv sterilizer to the pump you are using.

Yes, I am OK with it, and I am buying generic brand UV bulbs which saves me a bunch of money.

I also have the Coralife Turbotwist 9W on a 45 gallon tank and I am very happy with it. I agree with Joe, I would also get a bigger, more powerful unit for a 125 gallon tank.

Its remarkably similar to this one for more than double the price.

I have both of them running now, and they all seem to be identical units. Same Impeller, filter, Bulb, Etc. Ive completely torn them down and rebuilt 2 of them. The only difference I was able to find between the units was the "JBJ Submariner" is UL Listed and its power cord is 2 feet longer. When I contacted JBJ all I could get out of them is that they actually dont make the Units. And they have a company in Asia that makes them for them under contract. The same answer I got from 2 different Ebay sellers that Ive bought 3 units from. Seems they are all made by the same company.

+1 on the Coralife Turbotwist(I feel like I'm starting to sound like a Coralife Turbo-Twist salesman :becky:).

The 9w is already adequate for a 125g but the next higher model should provide a faster turn around.

I totally agree bigger is better, it's just the money......I only searched on CL but never pay attention to ebay....will check to see if there is anything for sale...

I just placed an order for this 9W submersible UV Steralizer from Amazon.com sold by AquaTop, $34.95 with free shipping. Some other brands sold the same item for over $100, I can tell from pictures they are essentially the same thing. If it works well that's a $100 savings compared to the Coralife Turbotwist 9W (the unit works well but I really think the "twist" is a gimmick).
