Well, it's been 2 1/2 years and finally my WC Moba is holding!!! The only problem is I don't know for how long. I removed all the Lace rock from the tank 1 to 1 1/2 weeks ago and didn't think to look to close at the fish since I've got a colony of Troph's, a pair of WC Calvus who finally are guarding a shell, A Synodotis E. 4 large Rokiels, and a bunch of Lelupi fry in the same tank. I figured no way Front's would breed with all the confusion so, I never paid attension until 2 days ago when I noticed her gurggling the eggs / fry.

Thanks Jeff for the advice, I guess I'll let her hold for term or until I get a glimbs of developed fry. Any more advice?

I assume that this is her first batch of eggs. I'd let her hold this time... she'll likely NOT hold to term, but if you start stripping right away, you'll almost always have to strip early. And it sounds like a busy tank to be catching fish often in!

I generally do strip, but later on. And sometimes I miss! I have a few fry in the main tank, swiming around... :partay:

Best of luck, tho!!

Thanks all, the WC pair I got 1 1/2 ago, they're a bit older then my F1's. The guy I bought them from said she had held twice befor but he never got anything from her so, we'll let her hold and see, it's a learning experiance.

I would have posted pic's but the glass is filthy. Maybe this wkend.

It can be a little frustrating trying to spawn frontosa. My female ate or spit the first 7 or 8 spawns. She now holds to term and releases the fry in the tank. Keep trying.
