I'd go with the vinegar and warm water method instead.

+1 on the vinegar method.
I've used bleach in the past but only a capful of bleach per bucket of water.
More importantly, WELCOME TO ECC! What fish are you keeping?

I was thinking of posting this same question throughout the weekend....I was going to toss a bunch of bleach and water in a bucket and just let sit and then when finished rinse, rinse & more rinsing....until I heard of the vinegar method.
How much vinegar to water would you guys use?
Very pourous rocks that I just got from a friend that have old dried out algae, etc...all over them and the wire brush isn't working it's magic on them....

I've used bleach on rocks and driftwood before. Anywhere from a half a cup to a cup of bleach in a 5 gallon pail with water. I also use bleach to remove algae from plants (1 part bleach to 19 parts water - let plants sit in solution for 1-3 minutes, then rinse). After soaking objects in bleach, rinse well. If you are worried about the chlorine, just put object in clean water and add a few drops of dechlorinator. Chlorine dissipates overnight.

I go with bleach on rocks. About 1/2 cup in 5 gal bucket. Then soak them in fresh water, then let them dry for a couple of days, preferably in the sun.
