I used to save 30 gallons of water in my basement, add 15 ml API "Stress Coat" and let the water sit for a few days before doing water change. Lately I got my new Aqueon water changer so I have to add tap water directly to my tank (60 gallon). It is a great time saver but I am now concern about the quality of the tap water. Should I still use API "Stress Coat" or there are better choices out there? I live in Nassau County, Long Island. The water may be different from New York City's. I have Mbunas.
Thanks for feedback in advance! Tony

So much cheaper...and so much better, IMO.

I agree with fischfan13. It is a concentrated version of Prime. I have been using it for more than 3 years with great success.

the only downside to seachem safe and prime is the smell... omg does it stink..
i actually have stress coat, prime and safe...
the ratio of stress coat to water is 1:2, prime 1:10, and safe 1tsp:100 so depending on how much water i am adding i use whichever product i want.. say i want to just add one 2 gallon bucket i use 1ml of the stress coat cuz safe would be overkill and a waste (im cheap) if i do a 12 gallon tub i do 1ml stress coat and 1ml prime, and if i just fill up the entire tank i use the safe for the whole volume. but yea bill is right safe is soooooo much cheaper for the amount of water it treats..
its all about seachem, the smell tells me its actually going to work :thumb:
