so i recently aquired a breeding colony of haplochromis sp.44 (2m 4f, and about 25 fry). I have them in a 55g with lots of rocks and they seem to be doing well, although they are incredibly skittish! is this normal for them? the fry aren't shy at all, and will eat crushed flakes off of my fingertips. also i think it is neat that the adults remind me of hummingbirds! they are much more energetic than my malawi's or tangs! anyway just wondering if there was some general info i should know about vics! i plan on keeping the colony alone in a 55 and i've got the fry in a 20g atm but plan on moving them to a 33long when they get a little bigger.
i wanted to get some pictures to post but they all dive for their hiding spots whenever i get within 10 feet of the tank.
