Hi,
This thread's sole purpose is to rant about something that upsets you. If you can, please start with: You know what really grinds my gears...(LOL) So I'll start..

You know what really grinds my gears.. that most landscaping places are closed during winter and its difficult to find rock for my new aquarium

I see your location is NYC...too bad. In NJ we have Clayton http://www.claytonco.com/locations/locations.asp and this is the place to buy rocks. The closest location to you would be in Bayonne.

Take a train ride to the North Shore of Long Island and take a walk on a few of the beaches.

What grinds me is when you come across a crazy cichlid. Sometimes you just shake your head and you are left to ponder that they just arent wired right.

there is a Dunkin Doughnuts and a Walmart near me that has amazing rocks laid out on a steep embankment to protect against erosion. Some nights during a heavy rain event, I lie awake at night worrying about that steep embankment (thats now missing some rock) eroding right into those two businesses.

I used to live in Rocky Point.. Take Hallock Landing rd to the end. Beach is loaded with nice rocks for the tank. True to it's name.
