After the Fall '10 Auction we heard a complaint from one of our members that he didn't think the Choice Auction was as good as the past Choice Auctions.
So we amp'd it up...well, actually Sarah was in charge of amp'ing it up.
We're listening...:ear::ear::ear:
Sooooooooooo, how was it?

Very serious.
I am very critical of how the Auction runs.
Someone paid us one of the biggest compliments that I have heard since I have been running auctions. A person whom I have seen at MANY auctions told me that we had the best group of announcers at any auction that they have ever been to....and I absolutely agree. But I would like to know if we improved on the Choice Raffle. It was 10:50am and Sarah was still working on the Raffle Fish to make the list perfect. Matt and John were working on the White Board to make it perfect. Everyone was working on making things perfect. How many times did I text or call you on Saturday? How about the rest of the Staff? LOL.

The choices were outstanding! :beerchug: The only thing that would have made it better would've been for me to win. :)

John, I'm not sure which corys they are my best guess was salt and pepper. I didn't want to label them without knowing 100%. Pm twistedfisher as he is the one that donated them.

I don't know how I will make it better next auction :lol: I'm all ears!
I do know of a few catfish that will be extinct once the dam is built but I had put some in the raffle before and they were one of the last to be picked.
You guys are picky :neener:
I love raffles in general. Despite having tons of small containers of fish food and water additives in my fish room (that I'll prtobably never use), I still always buy tickets at our monthly CCA raffle. Raffles are just well, exciting.
Now I may be a bit biased, but the catfish raffle is exciting on another level....I feel like I watching a raffle for a car gieaway or something. I think it's a major feature of the ECC auctions.
The selection is always bomb and there are enough bags to pull numbers throughout the day to keep folks excited. A good mix of plecos, synos and corys ensures that no matter who wins (and what they keep), they can take a catfish home and drop it in an existing tank.
Very well done Sarah. :ty:
