There will be many "Thank You's".
I will need more than this one post to mention everyone whom should receive recognition for making the ECC Spring Auction the HUGE success that it was.
This in absolutely no specific order:
Joseph.
You woke up at 4:45 am to help out in every way possible. Carrying tables, setting up chairs, helping with registration, taking loads of pictures and making your father VERY proud.
Will.
Driving to the airport to pick up fish. Getting at the hall at 7am, and then doing everything else that could be possible of one person. I swear that sometimes I thought that there were three of you in the hall during our setup...you were all over the place.
The 3-Horseman and Wife.
Mr and Mrs CrabbyMatty, Alan and John NEVER took a break. They worked the entire auction. These four people were the workhorses of the entire auction. Every lot auctioned off was because of them. The auction was so-terrifically efficient because of them. Never have I worked an auction with four people whose contributions were of such magnitude.
Mike (Fishymike)
Thank you for taking the long drive and making an impact. We need to work another auction together.
Andrew.
Thanks for the advice from the past several weeks. Thanks for being ECC's other set of eyes and ears. I have learned an awful lot from you and have appreciated every ounce of help that you have given us. Thank you for agreeing to let me stretch your vocal cords between auctioning and announcing during the day.
Kurt.
During your own club meeting on Saturday you took in delivery of fish from three separate people for ECC. You showed up and made me laugh. You hung out with my wife and made her laugh. Then you let me abuse you and you auctioned and announced as well.
Chris and Shawn.
You two boys come up from Maryland and stepped up at the Reg Table and helped me out big time.
Ed.
OUR HERO.
On Saturday Ed drove from the Jersey Shore all the way up to Atlantis to pick up a donation. Then Ed drove down to Mt Kisco to pick up TwoTankAmin's Plecos. Then Ed drove back down to the Jersey Shore and saved the day by getting us a sound system. Ed showed up at the auction and went to work setting us up for sound. Amazing.
The BarMaid.
Hey, tell me she wasn't great!
Pattie.
I was asked by several people who you were. I think you now own the record for running the most lots in ECC history!
Runners.
There were many runners, and there is no way that I can remember all of you. Roy, Jim, Dylan, Artie...and I know I left out a bunch more.
My wife Toni Anne.
You took the one job that no one wants and made it work with ease...and twisted a lot of arms to buy more tickets!
