Just wondering which Hydro Brand Sponge Filters you guys prefer and why...
There are two (that I know of):
The regular one:

The "Pro" Coarse foam ones, and what I personally prefer:

Both!
The coarse are a few cents more, and seem to be worth it.
But in the long run either will do a great job.

I'm just wondering, because I have a 2 year old regular hydro in a 10gal in my kitchen that just clogs SUPER easy, and is horribly covered in algae....
Really what I am wondering is which would be best for fry tanks. Normally for fry I just feed crushed pellets, cyclops, baby brine shrimp, or crushed flakes...

I like the Hydro because you can have less air pulling up the tube and they still work well. The others I feel don't work as well if the bubble action is on the low side, especially when they get a little clogged. IMO of course. :bandit:
