Run an IT firm in Fairfield County, as well as a few somewhat large internet forums.

Wife got me a 72g Oceanic bowfront for father's day three years ago thinking it would give me a nice distraction from always playing with computers. LOL little did she know.

I obsessively visited House of Fins in Greenwich, CT and while they were pricey I learned a boatload from them. I started with a 100% tang tank (laleupi, few calvus, few julis, some syn petricolas) and then added some Demasoni a year later to add a little color in there and being assured they'd play fine with each other (they did).

My tank filled up fast with fry and had about 60 fish in there at one point. Before considering breaking up the tank I had a huge die-off. The nozzle on my cannister came off unbeknownst to me and came down the next morning with about half the fish dead to nothing to breath. It sucked but hell, I'm learning this hobby is all about making mistakes and learning from them.

Then two months ago my tank sprung leak and had to hustle to get them into a temp tank, which turned into a nice 40g tall which the Mbuna seem to like (have a stray Frontosa, two stray Laleupi and three junk ones I got to test the water which just won't die). The tank was seemingly tailor made for the holey rock formation I had so I figure everything happens for a reason.

I've fixed up my 72g, moved it to my basement office and am off to the races... I've been harassing my new best friend longstocking frequently every day about stocking ideas. From the level of knowledge she's shown I know I'm in good hands.

Tim, you have fallen under her spell and will be buying another six tanks very shortly. Soon after she'll be sending you many boxes of fishes you never knew you ordered. Don't feel bad. I think it's happened to many. :neener:

Welcome Tim, I think we all started with just one tank in mind, so I guess that is the reason most non fish friends think we are out of our minds.

Longstocking's Lupotas making themselves at home in their new tank. They're already chasing each other around the tank and picking at the sand, great signs!!!

The little guys are doing awesome! After acclimating them (24 hours no food no light) I gave them their first pinch of .50mm NLS yesterday and went at it with vigor. The Larger juvies are already exhibiting very Troph like behavior (going by the textbook of course... first time troph dad) like picking at the sand, picking territories and beating the living crap out of eat other over rock houses.

Today is going to be my first two feeding day. I've been giving them one pinch of the NLS which they gobble up in under 30 seconds. I was contemplating soaking this next batch in metro just in case

Unless you are seeing signs of problems I wouldn't medicate. I really doubt you will have any problems since they are so young. Younger Tropheus tend to deal with tank transfers better than adults.
