I think Austalia has 7 of the world's 10 most venomous snakes.

Here's the dugite:

I love the blue ring octopus... I remember watching a PBS Nature speciel on Cephlapods and that showed the blue rings spawning... Cool animals...

Doesn't Australia have like the densest population of different species of venomous snakes in the world though?

man, if I had those things slithering around I would try and buy and tame a mongoose as my next pet!

Cool pic. If I saw a highly venomous snake checking me out in my yard, Imm not so sure I would have the steady hands to take a pic

I remember hen I was a kid in Brisbane. I was playing the back yard and saw one of these suckers cross my path about 5 feet from me. Luckily my parents always said to me.... "If you see a brown snake here, run the other way" LOLOLOL.... So I ran the other way !!! Very fast might I add. :icon82:

How close did you get to this guy? I don't think I could sit there still and take a shot... It would be a big BLURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
