So I tried taking some new pics tonight with my crappy camera. G-d do I need a DSLR. Maybe the Electronics fairy will get me one.

The Jalo Reef is quite possibly the nicest I have ever seen.
Looks like you got a nice score with the Tropheus, Ted.

<There will be plenty of those great looking Tropheus available at our auction on 04-04...is that shameful or what?>

Thanks, I got the Jalo Male back in 2003 when he was born so he's pretty old by Mbuna standards. 2 of his females are the same age as him also.
He was the reason I got back into the hobby.
I'm actually pretty attached to him.
I will never sell him.

He sure is a beauty! And yeah I know what you mean. I still have some of my first cichlids now, and they were adults when I got them and are beginning to show old age.

Still, that is one of the better Mbuna species. I always thought about trying them, but I like the rarer haps better...at least as far as behavior...
