Quick Tutorial if You're New :)

Ok, so you are new to EastCoastCichlids.org...Welcome!:welcome:

EastCoastCichlids.org is a not-for-profit forum/website created back in 2008.
Our goal is to make sure that you, the hobbyist, are taken care of.
Every month we try to make sure that there is something going on. Road Trips, Group Buys, Our OWN Auctions (The biggest Cichlid Auctions on the East Coast), barbecues, and giveaways.
Our sponsors will take care of you with great discounts. Any time you want to buy from one of our sponsors just make sure that you tell them that you are an EastCoastCichlids.org member (or ECC) and ask what type of discount that you will get.
Our Road Trips are legendary. We have visited facilities as far north as upstate NY and clubs as far south as Maryland. Many of us met up at the recent Catfish Convention in Virginia and many of us also hung out together at the '09 ACA Convention in Cincinnati and the '10 Convention in Milwaukee.

In January we are running a Road Trip to Peter Rubin's Atlantis. Many of us will meet up at breakfast about an hour before time and then drive in a convoy to the facility.
In May we will be holding our Huge ECC Spring Auction '11!
In July we will be going to DC as the CCA does ACA in the 2011 ACA Convention.
Sprinkled in between those months and during the rest of the year we have events planned as well.

Our Forum is just loaded with things to do.
On the Home Page there is an Index of items.

Because you run an excellent forum with a great community.

The other forums don't have that feel and usually if you ask a question you just get shot down with stupid "correct" answers. By "correct" answers I mean something as innocent as keeping two colonies of trophs in a 100g. Most places you'd just get piled on but here you'd more likely find a few people jumping in to tell you that yes, they've tried it, and here is what worked and what didn't work.

In a few weeks this has become literally the only aquarium-related forum that I'll even bother to visit.

Those near BWI Airport in Baltimore, we are having a Group Buy that will be delivered on Friday, March 11 with Reserve Stock Cichlids.
If you want to drive to RSC then our Road Trip there is planned for Saturday March 19th.
