View Full Version : CURRENT 6' 6 X 96W ????
Has any one had problems with there's? Bought mine 3 - 4 yrs ago and 1 by 1 bulbs went out after 2 yrs tops, that's when I found out how much bulbs were. I was hoping the bulbs would last close to my MH bulbs, not even close. I broke down and bought 6 new bulbs only to find out most do not light.
Have any of you replaced the ballasts or have experience with ballasts burning out this fast? Maybe wiring as it seems to be a bad design, wires are very tight when connected to the bulbs. Did not check for power at the bulbs but, really don't think wires are it this time.
Thanks

I have a few current outer orbit lights. I have never had any problems with them. Why not call the company and ask them about your problem.

If you have plants you want to replace the bulbs at least annually anyway because the output declines.

ThanksCF bulbs don't burn out easily, IME. I have one 6' and two 4' current orbit CFs and none of them have ever needed bulb replacement in the past 4 yrs. When I bought these lights I purchased extra CF bulbs for backup - all the new bulbs are just sitting in the basement collecting dust (definitely am not complaining). These lights are left on for at least 4 hrs during the weekdays and 10 hrs weekends.
My point is your problem is unlikely attributing to the bulbs. I'd bet is the ballasts.
