I saw these in the display tank at That Fish Place. They look like a Cynotilapia to me but not sure. the body looked more like elongatus.

Well, there are a lot of Ps.elongatus types with the yellow accents in there fins but I am leaning towards the 'Higga Reef' variety,as pictured in Konings 4th edition,pg 67.
I'm also thinking (my first thoughts) that they might be Chewere elongatus, and maybe they are but not fully developed in color.
This could be argued a few different ways though,,,I guess no one there new what they were?

Cheers,Larry

I was gonna guess Ps. elongatus Chewere simply on the fact they seem to be one of the more common species of Ps. elongatus-type that I have come across that look similar to those.

They are a Malawi fish therefore they must be a hybrid. Maybe they are Cynotilapia blue anni? :)

LMAO!!

My 2 Cents - Chewere males that are not fully developed. The other species that Larry brought up aren't that widespread here in the States.
