So while I was setting up my new 265G tank I had a pro come in to fix some leaks in the plumbing for me which he did.
He mentioned to me that he could replace all the hoses and tubes with hard PVC pipe. It won't make any noise, it'll run more efficiently, and something else which escapes me right now.
It was cheap too, one hour worth of work, $75 plus the cost of the supplies. What do you think of this? Is it something that adds benefit?
One more thing, He also mentioned a rig that keeps topping off the sump when there's evaporation. It consists of a bucket with a tight lid and a tube in it going to the sump, a small powerhead, and finally a sensor in the sump to detect lower water level. Not sure of the price but that's cool no?
