An in car video from one of my runs over the weekend. 1/4 mile in 6.93 seconds at 197 MPH. The sun was shining towards us so it's kind of bright. I hope to get some better ones later in the year.

Thanks Reel. It's not too bad, I race only about 10-12 weekends a year. When I'm away, I do WC's before I leave and have my neighbor feed my tanks. I leave notes as far as feeding which types to what tanks and how much. He does a good job. He recently took care of them for a week and I had no issues. The car takes some of my time to maintain, but not too bad, unless there is an engine or driveline issue.

Nice video. I went down to Englishtown for the nationals this year with some friends and took my son. My son got a few autographs. We had a great time. Last time I was there was in the early 80's. I think we will be going back next year.

Glad you enjoyed engine312. I run the nationals there as well, and was lucky enough to win them in 98.

Thank you Alesia!
I hope to get some more at a couple of the last events. Possibly one looking backward. This gives a real good look at the acceleration when the background gets real small, real quick. Plus you can see the throttle linkage work and the parachute deploy.
Wow my ride seems so slow now :eclipsee_steering:
I got a good run in my old heap on borrowed drag radials with a 10.3 sec @ 133 mph 1320'. Just changed rear end gears and I think that affected the top end. They told me I needed to get some bars in the car to let me run again with that number.
Thanx for sharing :beerchug:

10.3 @ 133 is a fast car. Most people can't appreciate how fast that is. I hear people talk about how they had this or that up to 150 on the highway. But it takes them miles to get to that speed. Now consider what it takes to get to that speed in 1320 feet.
Still if I ran that time again besides your posted vid it would look like it took me forever to get down the track. I struggled in my run and you made it look simple, I had all to do not hitting 2nd gear twice.
I made a few comppromises in my build to keep the car street legal.

It's all a learning curve and takes time in the seat. If you do something enough, and be consistent in your routine in the car, things become second nature. I can replay every portion of each run afterwards because I'm so accustomed to the speed and the way my car works.
