Bill, thanks for the heads up on this one. I got three 20 longs today. A buck a gallon on the first two and $0.75 a gallon on the third because the cashier liked me. Actually, I had a $5.00 coupon. :becky:

BTW, these are AGA/Aqueon tanks folks, so this is a deal not to be missed if you're looking to expand or just trying to build a tank empire.

When is That Fish Place having their open house....
and up to what limit in gallons does that buck a gallon apply ?
What would a 125 or 150 gallon tank go for if you can recall ?

Also: was the second person on the line before the store opened..... We both wanted 40 gallon breeders..
They said the did not get any in ...... ?????? I think they were probably already spoken for before the store opened... ????

This past spring it was in March I think. The limit is three tanks (I THINK per visit (two-day open house), and is first come first serve (I was first in line at the last open house ordering two 75g tanks!)), and it is for 55g, 75g, and 90g Perfecto brand tanks.

So it only applies for those three tank sizes. Their other tanks are are sale as well but not as cheap as Glasscages.com or some LFS I can name here in NJ that will sell tanks very cheap (including alternate brands than aqueon or perfecto).

I have no idea when their next open house will be, but it will probably be sometime in spring 2011.

Good timing! A tank sprung leak while I was gone (yay for fish sitter who caught it), so I'm off to Petco tomorrow. Maybe I'll buy an extra tank or two to get ready for the fall auction!

Thanks, Bill, for this great heads-up. I cleaned out the store near me. The guy told me they were getting another shipment mid-week. So... I'm planning to go back in a few days.

Same here- I cleaned out the 20H, but will be going back for one more to fill that last spot on my bottom shelf. :becky: Now if only I had ordered one more AC70 filter from Big Als when they were wicked cheap... :coz: And some heaters. Anybody selling cheap reliable heaters??
