Hi. My name is Wally Cox. I live on the western end of Pennsylvania. On the western side of Pittsburgh. I have 40 tanks running and at least 40 on stand by in my garage. I mostly keep Madagascar cichlids, S. American dwarfs (Apistos), and Anabantids scattered in there somewhere. I belong to Ohio Cichlid Assoc. and Greater Pittsburgh Aquuaium Soc. Inc.. I accidently let my ACA membership lapse. I will be working on that soon. I am glad to be aboard.

Welcome Aboard Wally! Dr. Loiselle just spoke about Madagasgars the other night at our meeting at NJAS. He gave me a few pointers about how I can get mine to breed.

Thank you for the warm welcome. Yes, Eric and I are pretty good friends. If you need some dirt on him I am sure I could give some juicy gossip. I would love to here all of Dr. Loiselle's incite to breeding Madagascar cichlids especially on Paretropulus menarambo. I swear thar pair hates me. However, my Paratilapia polleni spawned last week. Yeah for me!

Wally - Gregga on our site has spawned the menarambo but I believe the eggs did not hatch.

Congrats Wally on the Polleni. That's what I am trying to breed. He said to try raising the temp to 85 degrees and that they are seasonal breeders. Mine dug the corner out of my 265 then did nothing. that was a few weeks ago. I have an 8" male and 4" female.

Welcome aboard. As for Eric...yes..dig up the dirt. He has some fish I would like and blackmail seems like a viable alternative to cash.
Actually I have to email and see if he still has them. This is all Kurts fault. I'm babysitting some fish for him and I've grown rather fond of the little bugger.
You'll have to see if you can make the road trip this weekend.

Oh yeah - Now you're gonna blame it all on me....All those tanks and the fault lies in the one for me....Watch out I think she has something against us Pittsburghers:laughing:
Bev - are you and Dale Ravens fans?

Ravens? We don't see many of those around there here parts ya know. Now we like the gold finches and hummingbirds just fine. Even have taken a liking to the birds of prey that feast on the finches and such that we feed. But Ravens...naaaaaahhh.
Snicker..snicker
