Sad if you ask me, and the people on the beach don't bring the IQ of humans up much.
Hopefully this baby got back out into the ocean and is doing well.

looks like they were leaving it alone at least, and it seems to be heading out to the deep at the end.

He was on the news here and they reported him going back out with the waves at the end of the segment. I think it was reported on one of the Delmarva news stations.

Was that a fishing Rod? Maybe they snagged him unintentionally.

Seems to me like the reeled him in and cut the line - next thing you know he's turning around and making his way out.

It is a fishing rod. That fact was reported the next day and the blue shark returned to the sea to swim away. The initial news report here had the shark throwing itself up onto the beach...LOL
