It's summer driving season. Lots of us will be having a car drive or two. What local pet shop worth stopping by for? Or any other fish-related attractions you recommend?
I'll start with Absolutely fish. If you happen to drive through jersey, this is right off Garden State Parkway and definitely worth taking a detour to check out the nice selection of fresh and marine tanks. Africans, just a few tanks but decent quality fish though.

I just bumped the thread regarding the July Shop Hop where the plan is to visit three LFS's in NJ. There's a link provided to each store's website. I haven't been to them but am making an assumption they are worth the time spent going based on comments heard and knowing that folks are coming up from Maryland to participate.

I am from Jersey. Any places elsewhere? Like New England, Philly, New York, MD and DC??? How about VA and WV?
Lot of times these places are better than the public aquariums in terms of tropical fish. The big draw for these aquariums are like dolphins, sea lion and so on. Not much tropical especially not Africans.

If you get into MA at all Uncle Ned's is a good one especially for Africans.

That's all I have found that are worth while but I'm still new to MD myself. They all have good selections and decent prices.

Just visited one yesterday in MD that was very cool. Lots of CA/SA and plecos as well as a ton of pike cichlids. He's in a warehouse like space, and the owner was nice to talk to.

House of Tropicals does have an awesome selection. I don't like to buy from them though because they sell painted glass fish.
