View Full Version : Lost WW2 Pacific Battlefield found in a Rainforest in New Guinea

A WW2 battlefield that sounds like it was Australian forces vs Japanese forces (no USA or other allied forces involvement).

What is AMAZING about this find is that the battlefield is untouched.

They found rusted grenades, machine guns, canteens, etc all over the place.

The most AMAZING thing was they found soldier's graves. But what was fascinating was that after 68 years since the battle, the graves were still marked by wooden sticks/branches holding up now-rusted helmets. After 68 years they never fell over or anything...
