Hi,
Kurt told me I needed to get over here and join up. He said it's a pretty active and friendly forum.
I got into the hobby as a youngin and have been in for more years than I care to admit. I've dabbled in breeding a little of this and that over the years but about two years ago hubby decided what we really needed was a fish room. And so it began.
I honestly thought he was nuts (still do) but before I knew it he was building racks and setting up a few 20 gal tanks. Fast forward to now and we have about 170 tanks nearing 4,000 gallons of tank space. A full time job for me and a part time job for him.
We have everything from Viet. White clouds to Discus. The bulk of the fishroom is filled with angelfish and apistogramma. We have a few corys that are now spawning...finally. Some nannostomus, one kind of westie, cardinals, columbian tetras, a tank of adoketa that are stunning, 6 tanks of fancy plecos, freshwater shrimp and probably a few more that I'm forgetting.
There are pictures of some of our fish and the fishroom on our website that is listed below.
I'm hoping to be able to meet up with you all at Julies providing the weather is good and I can get out of the basement long enough. I've been to That Fish Place many, many, many times (is't only 30 minutes from here) but have not gotten to Julies place yet. I hear the stingray tank is something else. And I just want to drool over the zebra plecos anyway.
It's nice to find other fish folks in the area.
