Ed is on his way to Florida and can't pick up Mark's(Anubias Design) donation fish.

I'm at work and will leave at 4:00 for Adam's Pet Safari in Chester to pick up Adam's donation fish.

Is there anyone available who can pick up Mark's donation fish for the NJAS auction tonight? He lives in Bensalem, PA.

I wont be able to make the auction, but can save you some time, just let me know how I can help.

AlishanAS
02-19-2009, 10:11 AM
That's the caveat Sam. The person picking the fish up has to be on the way to the auction. I will not have time to drive back to PA from where I work in NJ.

Mark will be around most of the day if anyone can help out.

See ya there!

Good to see some faces, old and new, this evening.
The O'Malley family would be proud of the fish community.

Some faces in the crowd...
Spyder
TOMMYN3D
Spooky Fish
Bovsbaitboxes
Mad Hap
cichitellya
Haplee (rode shotgun with me)
Aquamojo

The biggest applause of the night came when my ECC-partner Tommy, AlishanAS, donated the entire amount of the 50/50 that he won back to the O'Malley family.
Very classy.

On behalf of NJAS, I would personally like to thank everyone who either donated or came to the auction. It looks like it was very successful. Had a lot of fun, bought some new fish, and supported a worthy cause.

How about Joe Jaskot?
Sorry Joe, how could I have forgotten about you?

Ted definitely was a riot, we need him to spell Kevin as auctioneer for a bit on 04/04...his pronunciation of Latin names is astounding.:dorky:

anyone know how to get intouch of someone who sold fish at the auction(first question is there more than one type of red top lethros?) because I dont want to mix these with the ones I have unless they are the same. it was for bap points and the intials on the bag were KN thanks for any help John

AlishanAS
02-20-2009, 04:10 PM
There are a couple of types of red top Lethrinops. The Itungi are the nicest imo.

I believe the only person who brought them to the auction was Larry Jinks who uses the intial LWJ. Are you sure you are reading the initials correctly John?
He gave two bags of 6 to me and I will put some in the ECC auction. They are the Itungi variety and Larry's male has wons many Best in Show awards around the east coast.

Initials on the bag are probably KM (Kathy Muraca). Most likely descendants of Larry Jinks's red cap itungi. Hope that helps.

FN is Frank Nell. Definitely descendants of Larry's fish.

And that fish is a descendant from a wild group of Itungi that I purchased from the now defunct Animal Action in Patterson. That store may have been the best shop for African cichlids in the area.
