I'll have to teach you how to use google maps...
Go to http://maps.google.com
Then type in the search box this:
put in your full address or zipcode or city, state, etc. A full address is best to your destinations full address, zip code, city and state, etc
Google will pull up directions and draw you a map with your route as well as give you options of alternative routes.
So far example, putting George Washington Bridge to 251 Park Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071
You get these results/directions here:
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=George%20Washington%20Bridge%20to%20251%20P ark%20Avenue%2C%20Lyndhurst%2C%20NJ%2007071
Google Maps is the next best thing to a GPS and there's so much you can do with it. You can even get driving/swimming/kayak directions from your house to Asia if you want (lol it says after you reach California to pull out your favorite kayak and paddle for like 2,000 miles across the Pacific haha).
You can do multiple stops with Google Maps as well, as well as get Street View (so you can look for landmarks to use and see what the destination looks like) and Satellite view, let alone choose your favorite route.
See you at the auction Artie!

This one Bill recommended to me recently (I was aware of the model, but last time I looked them up they were double the price they are now!):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0011ULQNI/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
$99.99 with free shipping from Amazon.com? You can't beat that!

So your volunteering to teach him how to use the GPS???
We got him using the Internet, pretty well may I add. We are well ahead of the game.
I would be happy to leave a trail of popcorn on the road for Artie, that's probably easier than getting him to use a GPS.
Please excuse the small type, I know Artie won't be able to read it and take offense :neener:

Bill, you say turn left at Rutherford and the Left at Park. Google says turn Right at Park, but I cannot find the elks club anywhere. When i searched elks clus it came up elks lodge which is to turn right on Park. So just to confirm, I take a left on PARK, and the Building is on the LEFT side of the road? Can you give me a cross street that is close so I sort of know? Appreciate it thanks

But by that, Bills Directions are wrong. Coming SE on Rutherford, do we turn LEFT or RIGHT at Park?

Everyone keep in mind this Sunday is the NYC Marathon
Longstocking

ok for those of us that live south.... does that affect us? and how?

The marathon could impact people who have to go through, around or near NYC but Lyndhurst is west of NYC so I can't see how it would impact those approaching from the south.

The marathon will not impact anyone coming from the South, the North, the West or even Long Island. The only people that might have to re-route themselves are those that live in Queens or Brooklyn.
What I am eating for breakfast that morning will have more impact on more people...
For those coming from out-of-town...
The Marathon in run thru the five boroughs on NY...the auction is in NJ.
