Nice fish! About the only thing you'll find in a petshop around me is "assorted" african tanks.

beautiful for a local guy to have something like that sitting in there tank. either it was a mistake or the owner has his buying game together and the people he's buying from i love to know who they are. if i may ask what did they cost you

I bought them both at Aquarium Adventure in Columbus, Ohio. I understand that there's one on Long Island as well. It pays to know the store manager and to have a club member work in the store. When they get some victorians in I sometimes get an email. (The store is 3 miles from my house.) They cost $10 to $12 each. They buy vics from Florida Exotics and Old World Exotics.

Ohio seems to be a hotbed for cichlids. I really want to check out the next OCA Extravaganza. Now that would be a cool ECC roadtrip.

Kyoga - flame-back - anybody who can spell the genus should get a reward.

i bought some of these from live fish direct a few weeks ago - they spawned about 3 days after I received them. contantly have a couple females with bulging craw of fry... definitely the nicest looking fish I've ever raised - I also have ruby green's and nyerei - bought from same place. If you haven't visited their website u should....

If anybody is thinking of getting into Victorians, Dave's Fish has a nice list of fish.
I intend to order at least 3 different species for our group order for June 13.
