Possible Changes

LOL, this is not an April Fools Day joke.
There "might" (read: might) be some changes to the EastCoastCichlids forum.
Over the next few days I will be looking at the options of changing our forum to the newer and better (hopefully better) vBulletin 4.0. Last November we purchased the new vB 4.0 and have put it aside until many of its kinks were worked out. It looks as if many of the kinks have been worked out and on some of the forums that I check out have had success with the format.
If we decide to go with the changes we will announce it before anything is done. We anticipate minimal downtime, with the possibility of No downtime at all.
There is one thing that we would need from the membership here:
Pictures.
High Quality Pictures...and I am not telling why.:beerchug:

The changes would come gradually. You might see a completely stripped down version before it is rebuilt back up again. After looking at one aquatic site that has made the changes I believe it is definitely worth it.

Paul, I am trying to upgrade the entire site.
The format that this forum is on is vBulletin 3.8.
Last November we purchased, not leased but purchased, vBulletin 4.0.
I have been waiting for all of the kinks to be worked out. There have been several security upgrades and many of the kinks have been taken care of by vBulletin. Our Webmaster, webDosser, and myself chat everyday about upgrading this site. To many this site will look like we have taken a step backwards, but internally we will have leaped forward tremendously, IMO. The skins (what everyone here sees when they click onto this site) will have to be developed...I have had Sarah working on what the new look of the site "might" look like.
The need for the pictures is a little surprise. Thanks to Nick I am set on Mbuna pics. There are a few members who I will lean on for some more pictures...there are a lot of people on this site who are extremely generous and thoughtful.

Bill, First and formost Thank you ( AND YOUR TEAM) for a wonderfull site. Personally I'm a ZERO when it cames down with the technical bull. I wish I could help (maybe in a couple years, when my partner in crime, Paulina, can help ME) I still type one finger at a time ( my daughter makes fun of me). The site is awesome (way better tham nationwide sites) ONLY ONE REQUEST, Bill, can you introduce spell checking in the new version? So people LIKE ME don't look like buffuns while typing.
