I purchased these at the Jersey Shore auction a few weeks back and have been feeding it to mbuna, calvus and peacocks for the last few weeks.
They really took to it fast and seem to like it more than the NLS. It has only 33% protein which I like and since they are soft there seems to be less chomping and debris floating around when they eat which is also nice.
If anyone else has used these please chime in on how good they are for color and anything else you could add. Thanks Jeff

Jeff, I have been using the HBH Soft Krill Pellets and I think they are excellent...the fish like them too!

I have also been using the HBH Soft Krill Pellets. All my fish like them.
I was planning on trying out the spirulina pellets for my Viejas.

LOL what's wrong with doritos? Except when you have indigestion...

Jeff, I've used both but much more krill than the spirulina only becuase I have just a few mbuna. The fish love both, but I found the spirulina will get moldy within a short time once the container is opened. Depending on how much you're using that may not even be an issue.

I have been thinking about starting a thread on how to keep your fish food fresh longer. One of the main things is not putting your wet fingers back in the food bag. Anyone with overflows has to submerge the food so it doesn't float right into the filter. Thanks for the heads up.

You're welcome. Sounds like it would be useful subject matter worth sharing. The HBH when I bought it was fresh and had a foil seal you remove to dispense the food. I'm sure for anyone using the spirulina pellets that has a fair number of mbuna they wouldn't have any problems with it. I know water wasn't a factor in my case. I have no drilled tanks so all food goes in through the top of the tank once the lid is opened. No wet hands here.

The HBH soft pellets are great. The HBH hard pellets are a different story.........................

If I remember correctly they make Cichlid Attack large hard pellets with a front on the label. Nothing would eat them. NOTHING
