I recieved a group of Rineloricaria sp. three months ago and put them in with a group of wild angels and blue tetras. The fish are housed in a 150 gallon extra tall. I noticed pairing behavoir two weeks ago and left the tank alone for a day or so and was rewarded with a clutch of eggs laid on the front pane of glass. This was on the 27th. The male sat guard on the clutch until the 29th. When he abandoned them I removed the entire spawn with a new razor and a siphon. I was unsure if the eggs were abandoned because of pressure, fear, or unfertility. I decided to take a look at an egg. There were 49 eggs in all, three fell to the gravel and I was unable to retrieve them.
Photos: I hope you enjoy

I have a video but it is loading slowly. It clearly shows blood flow from gills to abdomen. I am working on getting it up.
Anyone know what these fry are going to want to eat? Its my first Rineloricaria spawn so I am in the dark, Were it an Angel, Discus, Tetra, Cory, or Apistogramma I know what to do next.
Some great pics Chris !! Sorry that I can't help you with any info on what to feed. Looking forward to your vid. :a-okhand:

I had a pair of whiptails that spawned every month in a ceramic tube. Also had the green eggs. I gave the pair to YAP(Youngaquaticphotos) and they continued to spawn for him. The hardest part was to keep the young alive. Same problem I have in rearing L046 fry. The key is to keep them in a concentrated area(small tank or enclosure within a tank through which water can easily flow) so they can easily find nourishment.
I'll see if YAP can post some of the photos he took.

Great close ups Chris! Mine laid them in a cave. The only way to raise them was I had an old AquaKing Power filter box that I drilled tiny holes in it and hung it inside the tank. Then I placed the eggs in there to hatch. It was easier for the fry to eat and not travel far for food. Then I setup a five gallon tank next to a window so it got lots of sun and grew lots of Algae on all four sides. They really liked the move there and cleaned the sides nicely. Good luck with them!
These are pics in mine & Tom's tanks:
