I want to aquascape mine and my son's (saulosi1) tanks. They are both 30 gallon tanks. His has Ps. Saulosi and mine will eventually be Saulosi. What kind of rocks should I put in? I am a little nervous about putting rounded rocks in and I would prefer not to silicone them especially since the tanks are up and running. Kinda of doing this backwards. So I am looking for advice on what to use, how high should I go etc.

Thank you in advance. :)

Lee, no reason to be nervous with rounded rocks (river rocks). Years ago I went to a local stone yard and picked up 250lbs of river rock for $2.50.
Stacking is easy and I have never needed to silicone rocks together.

I believe it was about 7 or 8 years ago. River Rock was about $20 per ton.

just stack slowly, and give it the rocking test...gently rock them back and forth and see how much it sways, if it doesnt move alot, your good, if its very wiggly then find a way to make it more sturdy..
