Tony luke's cheesesteaks
Had it, was good , but not as good as Pat's or Geno's.
I would not detour off of Inter state 95 to get to Luke's
even though Tony's is right on 95.

Pat's and Gino's are both pretty terrible. Tony luke's front and oregon, jim's
on south street (don't go to the ne philly location) are way better than those 2. Steve's on comly rd in ne philly is the best I've had in philly. Only problem with steve's is the price has zipped up there lately.

Anyway based on your suggestion when in Philly I will try
Steve's on comly rd in ne philly ....

Im a Geno's fan, Pats or tony lukes will work in a pinch, the main reason Geno's and pats are my favorite is they are open 24/7, 364 days a year, (closed Christmas Day ONLY). On those late nights / early mornings I can get a cheese steak. There is nothing better than a cheese steak or 2 at 4am. :becky:

Maybe Doug will volunteer to bring a couple dozen of the cheesesteaks to the auction. :hungry:
That would be the FIRST one that he would attend.....:becky:

The owner of Geno's died of a massive heart attack the other day. So sad. http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/local&id=8323177

I agree, steve's is a damn good sandwich, but I have to give my vote to geno's for best in Philly

Last weekend I took the family to Adventure Aquarium in Camden,NJ. When we were leaving the wife said she was hungry and so was I. I told her Philly is not to far and we always wanted to try out Geno's for beeing so famouse for there cheesesteaks. When I punched in Geno's address in the GPS is said it was only 14 min. away.We found a parking spot around the corner and walked up and got us 2 cheesesteaks, cheese fries and coke's. We were both so disapointed.
We said we get better cheesesteaks at Italian Village in Plainfield. That's the spot for some real good cheesesteaks.

Pats and Geno's are for tourist . If ya want the best cheese steak or roast pork sandwich in Philly , go to John's roast pork on Snyder ave . just off Delaware ave .

I was always partial to the cheesesteaks at the Lyndhurst Elks Club. Twice a year it comes with a side order of ECC auction.
