This is for those of us either using NLS or thinking about using NLS.
Which formula(s) do you use?

I use the:
1mm cichlid formula
1mm Thera A formula

In the past me and you Bill traded some 1mm for some 3mm and I like using the 3mm too. Looking to get either some 2mm or more 3mm again soon.

1mm Thera A every so often don't know why Sounded good when I ordered it some fish won't go near it.

The grow formula also

1mm Cichlid (for everyone juvie+)
3mm Lg Fish (for medium haps, large peacocks)
6mm Jumbo (for the largest haps)

I try to be pretty stingy with the 6mm, but it works well for getting the biggest mouths full quickly so that the smaller stuff can drop down to the less aggressive/smaller folks in the 180g.

I still have 5mm pellets I used for my fronts. The Fronts are now gone so ,I break them up for the smaller fishes.

The discus formula ... um..when I had discus of course ;-)

and the Thera A formula, too.

But I've always been into "cocktails" and mix stuff together. I will always do that I think. Learned that from the discus, they can be brats and get picky and when I mixed things up, it prevented them from getting too used to one food. Mine would eat everthing...flake, pellets, live food, just about everything. I never had any problems with 'hunger strikes' as some folks term it with them. Mine were pigs!

Sorry, I keep hearing good things about NLS, but I use Omega One as my main staple, and I can't stop my fish from breeding. I'm sticking with what works.

Used NLS for a few months didn't like it. For pellets I now use Dainichi exclusively...

Ultima Krill (krill coated after the cooking phase)
Color Supreme (coated with spirulina after the cooking phase)
Color FX (coated with cyclops-eeze after the cooking phase)

Obviously there are a lot of people there that LOVE NLS brand but I just want to point out that they are not the only superb and quality Cichlid Food out there.

The only thing I didn't like from them was their pellets... My fish ate it all right, but there was too many fillers since the pellets (shrimp pellets for example) swelled up like crazy...

Their Cichlid Flakes were pretty good but were pricey...

Cichlid Formula because protein is low.
