Ford and I went crabbing today....... we had a feast when we cooked them up.
Ford did lot's of screaming when I touched his leg and he thought it was a crab.
Here are the pictures of our catch...

They look exactly like the Blueclaw Crabs we catch here on the Mid Atlantic Coast.
Wiz, do you steam or boil?
Do you Use beer when steaming or boiling and/or have a boil mix you place in the water?

You guys from down-under seem to have quite a life. Do you ever need to worry about excessive mercury in your "wild caught" seafood?

How'd ya get the red ones to line up like that:partay:
They sure do look like our Blue Claws except I havn't caught that many large ones in quite a few years. Those look great! but, nothing better than a softshell just dredged in a little seasoned flour and fried quick. Man do I remember them when my great aunt & uncle had a shack out on one of the islands in Long Island, had no running water or electricity but the fish, Crabs, clams, I miss those days.

Living on the Jersey Shore I still get a decent share of blueclaw crabs.
Two things in the water before I throw the crabs in...
1) Beer...doesn't matter what brand either
2)

Not sure. This was just a pic that I found on the net. If I had crabs in front of me I would not even stop to take pics...they'd all be gone!:beerchug:
