Well on one hand it's a damn shame to see such a beautiful fish die (and many more tropical species), but on the other hand they don't belong there anyway.

Brutus...mine...was 36" long and 22 pounds when he kicked.

Mo what size tank was he in? my poor guy was in a 150 barely could turn around. no one would take him (bigger tank or pond) he was one of my first fish. bought him he was the size of a quarter when I got him he got real thick a good 6" girth friendly a hell liked to be petted:sad-smiley-002:

He was in my 1600 gallon pond. He was like a big wet dog. Used to come to the surface and open his mouth while I would literally pour a cup of pellets down his throat. Mixed blessings on seeing him go.

Here's one time I had to move him to a holding tank.
