got these two from a friend but we don't know what they are. Can any one help us out?

Tough to tell with the photos.

I was going to say female zebra obliquidens, but Tom beat me to it.

they look more like the Haplochromis sp. "Thick Skin. I do do know that they are females

joe , you are right. They are zebra obliquidens or (Astatotilapia latifasciata)

Hap. 44's or Thickskin are easily confused and quite often mislabeled by LFS.
