Anyone out there keeping West African cichlids?

My list includes Pelvicachromis signatus, P. roloffi, P. subocellatus matadi and Anomalochromis thomasi

I have 6 different West Africans at the moment but have kept over 2 dozen over the years if you count all of the various p.taeniatus varieties.

Currently I have Wild Pelvicachromis Pulcher (was Kribensis), Nanochromis Nudiceps, Pelvicachromis taeniatus "Moliwe", Pelvicachromis taeniatus "Lokundje", Pelvicachromis taeniatus "Nyete", and Anomalochromis thomasi

Randall, the divandu have proven to be quite an investment in time. After a year of growing out, the females (?) are still only about 1.5-1.75". Evidently, Anton isn't surprised. He told Dave to expect 2 years before breeding activity:sigh:
My pics don't rate in the same ballpark as Dave's but just to give you an idea of how small the females(?) are compared to the males(?) [(?)'s because uncertainty still exists LOL]

I just received 2m/3f P. nicholsi last week (thanks Mark and Julie.) The males are starting to show some good color, should get better as they grow a bit more.

What strain of humilis Tim?
I spawned the fria variant. Once. Then the male divorced the female, cichlid style.:deadd:

I'm working with P. subocellatus and P. signatus now.

The N. parilus are the "Congo" strain.
The P. humilis are "multi spot" from Kolente. It appears I have three males and two females.

I have one pair of P. taeniatus Nigerian red that don't want to make more kin folk. I also have 5 Hemichromis Guttatus. One pair loves having babies.

i have 10 tilapia gutterosa and they look really sweet.. been trying to give them away to so someone on the cares list but ive had no luck so i guess ill hang on to them and give them theyre own tank.. pretty hot looking fish.. almost mimic the williamsi in a way with theyre colors
