Anyone here use them for purchasing tanks? I'm thinking of from now on when I buy larger tanks to only buy from them because of their great prices...

Bought a 50 breeder from them in 2001. Two weeks ago it sprang a leak. Lost 40 breeder orange flame tropheus, burned out two filters and a heater. First real leaker in 30 years of fish keeping. Once had a 10 gallon bottom pane crack. IMO glass cages makes a cheap tank suitable for reptiles. I would not buy another one from them. Heard of many others who had leaky tanks from them. I guess I was lucky my tank lasted as long as it did. Still have perfectos and all glass tanks from the 70's and 80's.

I got a custom 130 made buy them 2 years or so ago.

The only thing I don't like is that the top of the tank has a glass return all around the top. So you are limited to what HOB filter fits in the only 2 spots they have for them. I had to use a canister (FX5) and 2 AC70s.

Joe I'd contact them about that tank, even if they sent you a new one and cash for the fish you'd be leary but , hey give it a try. Any compensation would be better than none at this point. It's worth a try.
