I have a 25 Tall with 4 pairs of L. Stappersi in it. I had a group of fry about two weeks ago and they all disappeared and tonight I noticed I have a new group from a different female. So the question is, do I pull them and put them in a floating fry basket or do I leave them and see if they survive this time.

They are still hopper size, but can free swim when they want.

Thanks,

I would pull 'em. They aren't very good parents. IMO

I just found that my Gold Occie have fry too, I guess when it rains it pours. I may just put them both in the same grow out since they are almost the exact same size and will be easy to tell apart.

Since the footprint of the tank is small I would pull them. It's a natural instinct for the Melagris to eat the fry since territory space is so limited.

That's very true, hadn't thought of it in that way.

Well so far it's a great success! I have both black spotted and tan bodied fry swimming all over the place. They seem to be eating the BBS I brew up daily so hopefully this works out pretty nice.
