I am curious as to what you have learned from your trip. What were some of the things now looking back that you maybe assumed about the lake that ened up not being true? What did you learn about how things are really done in terms of exporting fish? I know a lot of people had their "interesting" :heh: ideas about certain aspect of the lake and exporting... that I knew ere not true.... but I'm curious as to what you really took away from your trip :ear:
I am sure I am not the only one that would like to hear these things.... I was going to pm you.. but decided it might be best if everyone heard some of it :becky: I get the juicey stuff in person

I'll start with your question Emartin.
No, I didn't snorkel or scube dive. I was a little hesitant because I was told to be careful of parasites in the water..........
I will be snorkeling when I go back though. If I get certified for scuba diving I will do that also.

Now onto the Petro Princess's question. :becky:
Let me think about this a little and get back to you. I want to try and say the right things.

After some thought it's very hard for me to say what I truly learned through all of this.......most of it won't be politically correct......in a nut-shell I think I learned to always watch who I tell things to.

I would like to know how much exporting of fish is actually occurring at the lake and what size fish are being exported.

I wish that wasn't the case Steve but I have a feeling I know kind of what you are talking about. You are too nice of a guy :)
Maybe you can talk about some of your more positive experiences?
Joe... Steve has put a lot of what you are talking about to rest on other forums that I am a mod on. It just isn't true. I'm sure he doesn't want to rehash that debate  Very few fish are raised in africa. It isn't cost effective. Yes, they do catch fry or Juvies at times and they are wilds.

Positive experiences.
Wonderful food! Very humbling place to be........once I got settled in and really opened up I became very appreciative of being there.
It's hard to explain but it's kinda like if your sitting by yourself and just in complete peace.

Did you see crocodiles or hippos? Other wildlife? You were not there during fly season, right?
