Hey Kev, I still have about 5 large adults in two different tanks. I had to seperate the males. I got a trio from zebra MANY years ago & a few of my own. Wayne gave me the most beautiful female i've ever seen !!!!!! (Yes that includes woman :neener:) They bred a few timesvery long ago. I keep them with a bunch of different fish (sorry can't help myself). They can be extremely nasty when breeding. I recall putting my hand in the tank on two different occasions when there was some fry in a clay pot cave & having the male????? dart out & nip my finger & draw blood. Pretty big teeth. I'm sure Zebra 7 will chime in with proper care technique!!!!!!!!! Enjoy They are beautiful fish IMO !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kevin - I first kept these about about 20 years ago and after "losing" 6 out of 8 a pair formed. The pair spawned for me many times in a 30 gallon tank. The set up included crushed coral sustrate with a large cave constructed of a couple of pieces of shale. I put in a few other caves in case the male got a bit bossy. Of course if you have a larger tank, all the better.
I used the same set up to breed tetracanthus a few years earlier.

What no ?
Sea Slug, is that the best you can do?
Hey Artie,
I'll take some fry too!
I started out with 6 some yrs back, after 2 1/2 yrs they widdled them selves down to 1 pair. I left them alone in a 75Gal all to themselves. After 3 months I had 1 male.:grenade: They are a beautiful fish!

Oh yea they widdled down? They all jumped to their death rather than be in one of your tank's, the last one remains dried with a pin up it's ass on a piece of cork . A fitting tribute.
