new vics

I am ordering some new vics , Pundamilia Nyererei Red Mwanza . I am ordering form California cichlids . They look pretty good.(says there show quality ) Has anybody heard of California cichlids ? His aqubid references are 97% good .He has a pretty good list of vics and is going to send me an importer list of what he can get . You can check them out on aqubid .

Jimmy - I haven't used California cichlids. I've lost interest in Aquabid since there are so many local suppliers of fish and dry goods.
Have you checked Dave's Fish, one of our sponsors? He has a lot of Vics. We get 10% off anything we purchase.

Pundamilia Nyererei Red Mwanza are a nice looking fish. If you get them please post some pics. I don't know anything about California cichlids though sorry.

I've heard good things from the folks I know that have done biz with C.C.

This p. nyererei variant is one of the '07 imports from Mwanza Gulf. Nobody knows for sure any more exact collection location. Make absolutely certain that you do NOT mix in any fish from any other locale with these. This is one of the Vics with the clearest provenance in the hobby! Breed them often, share them liberally---but keep the bloodline pure :megacool:

BTW the males are absolutely frikken stunning fish--one of the nicest reds you'll ever see in a fresh water tank!

Hello , I Didn'T know if I should post this in the forum or not .:coz: I joined a forum for vics called Cichlids of victoria and there are a bunch of posts about cali cichlids selling hybrids . the Pundamilia Nyererei Red Mwanza specifically . I also received a pm Beware of what I get from him because he mixes the varieties of Pundamilia Nyererei to get better colored males . He's not allowed to be promoted on the site and another site is baning him to ! Just wanted to give everybody a heads up !! :becky:

just placed the order ! I picked up Xystichromis sp. 'Dayglow' some Xystichromis phytophagus Lake Kanyaboli 'Christmas Fulu' some Pundamilia nyererei Ruti Island. I pick them up tomorrow at the philly air port :plane:. I know Im not going to be able to sleep tonite! :runnningaround:

this ruti island came from dave and has produced about 300 fry so far in a short 6 months
