Hello All,
To all the loved ones: Ross Socolof broke free of his body today, a little after 12 noon. He has passed.
I would like to create an online memorial, for all his family and his fish family.
Any suggestions would be welcome. Someone who can put it up and give me the link, even better. Perhaps thru the Cichlid Society? Somewhere on line where we can all make comments and post photos, that will live forever and be accessable to all, through Google.
His dog Irving, from Socolof Fish Farms, came to get him, I believe.

Sad day for the Hobby... For those of you that didn't know him His was owner of Socolof Fish Farms. He wrote an autobiography of his life titled, "Confessions of a Tropical Fish Addict". Here is a link to his bio in the cichlidroom. http://www.cichlidae.com/author.php?id=59

For those of us who aren't familiar with the name (other than that Pseudotropheus socolofi was named after him) just who was he? From that bio I read on cichlidae.com that YAP posted it sounds like he was the Stuart Grant of Florida... Would that be a proper way to identify him and his importance?

It's a shame though when anyone dies... Hopefully his wife and kin are dealing with it well... RIP Ross
