How easily will Blue Neon Paracyps breed with Albino? I have 2 groups and have the male non-albino in a tank alone and the non-albino females in with half of the group of albinos. What are my odds?
Any experience out there?

Mine bred togther so far once but did not hold. That is all I can say :coz:
My thinking.... it isn't going to work for me in the long run but my albino male is only 2.5 - 3 we'll see.
Sorry I'm not more help.

Thanks Sarah, for some reason I knew you would answer. I don't have too much hope but we'll see is right

Rob, why did you remove your regular Paracyp male ? Combine both group's, when the dominant male is established, rid the tank of his competition. Let the dominant male spawn with all female's. Alway's spawn with your strongest male, now your odd's increase. Grow out your split's, and start a new colony. When young fish are raised together these colonies usually do very well producing healthy fry. Good luck Spikey, :)

I picked up a wild male from Doug's breeding group at the RSC road trip last year to add to my group. My little albino female has held once full term. She is now holding again :)
Did yours work out Rob? I am actually suprised she is turning out to be a good little breeder.
