I've been using the Aqua Ultraviolet UV light classic 25watt black model for about a year and a half now and I just love the thing.

These are built for ponds and are SUPER heavy duty and the housing is UV-proof so you'll never have to replace the whole unit like you have to with other brands, just the bulb which the company says will last for full strength well past a year.

No cons, just pros. It works great, I never have any issues in the tank and the water is super clear.

The only downside I guess is that these are pretty expensive compared to coralife's twist units, but the plus side is that these have insanely good resale values for pond owners!

And the NJ store I bought it from (they do ship):

That's what they say I believe. I can't find my manual for it at the moment and their website is down but I do definitely remember the Aqua vendor at a full house sale at Water World did tell me (and the person who recommended to me this brand told me as well) that the bulbs definitely last longer than those sold by coralife for example.

I'll have to check to see if it does literally say it lasts past a year, I'll update the post when I find the manual or call the company.

I see they say 14 months. More or less possible with low-pressure UV lamps I guess.
