I want to take this time to thank Li from the Monster Aquaria Network. Li is a class act who took some time to talk to me during the ACA Convention. If any of you are not familiar with the Monster Aquaria Network they have some GREAT websites under their wings.
These include:
MonsterFishKeepers.com
AquariaCentral.com
Aquatic-Photography.com
capitalcichlids.org
Li has given me permission to post pictures from the ACA Convention.
Thank you Li.

I am still trying to figure out how you get my ideas out of my head before I think of them.

The business cards all weekend were funny. Everywhere you looked an ECC or CCA card could be found.
It got to be a running game. I left some on peoples tables during the banquet while they were up getting food. Somehow there were ECC cards in between the plates in the stack at the food line. lol
There were CCA cards in one of the tanks that was up for auction.

The only one I did not do was what Li told me. He wanted me to put them under every room door in the hotel at 3am. LOL Did not think the cheerleaders would know what it was.

It was actually a statement AGAINST supporting hybrids. Steve Edie made them and sold them for $5ea. The money went to the Stuart Grant Conservation Fund.

Lots of chatting, eating, drinking, spending. Not necessarily in that order. That's what a fish convention is all about....

When I saw this Hap I ran to him and literally begged him for a photo of this unbelievably beautiful fish.
All of the fish photos that you have seen have come from the eyes of Michael Hill. His photo skills are just phenomenal.

Is that the P. spilonotus Tanzania or P. spilonotus Liuli? Or it didn't say?

I love that fish too... Protomelas spilonotus is one of my all-time favorite Haplochromine species... My two sulphurheads besides refusing to share the 7ft tank together were gentle giants and definitely not skittish...

I knew there were more pics floating around of the ACA Convention.
Thanks to Tom for adding a few more...

Three really important people in the hobby...and two fingers from the CCA!
Mark Denaro (Anubias Design), Dave Schumacher (Davesrarefish), Li (owner of Monster Aquaria Network), myself (the "unimportant" one) and the two fingers of CCA Pres Pat Kelly...

I was wondering when that picture would show up. lol

Looks like you guys had fun but didn anyone under the age of 40 show up? In the pics it looks like the crowd that shows up for the early bird special at the local IHOP. I think I even saw an oxygen tank and adult diapers in the background LMAO!!!

Since I never eat at IHOP I would not know what the crowd there looks like.
I think that the oxygen tank was for the fish and the diapers were for the youngsters under 30 who could not keep up with us drinking and eating.

The big unknown fish is an Umbie, Caquetaia umbrifera (I think the species is correct).

Those Lethrinops are VERY nice looking fish.
